Our Staff

Tom joined PhotoVoice in 2014. Previously, Tom has worked for a range of voluntary sector campaigning organisations on equality, rights, disability, healthcare and the relationship between communities and policy makers.

Lauren joined PhotoVoice in 2019. Her previous experience centres around youth projects, homelessness and social action campaigning. She’s particularly interested in engaging with ‘disengaged’ groups through creative practice and facilitation.

Kallina Brailsford joined PhotoVoice in July 2019. Prior to this she has run a number of participatory photography projects. Kallina is also currently doing an AHRC funded PhD in Photography where she is looking at the use of participatory photography for the re-engagement of young people.

Natasha joined the PhotoVoice team in April 2021 after having worked as a visual content curator in the commercial and not-for-profit sector since 2003. Most recent work has focused on embedding ethical content gathering practices into the work of NGOs.

Russell is the picture editor at the Department for International Development. He previously managed digital photography projects at the British Library, and has worked in the photographic industry for editorial, commercial and public sector clients since 1996.

Appointed Trustee June 2018. Natalie is a senior in-house CSR professional. She has experience across marketing, PR, business strategy and fundraising. She is currently head of Corporate and Social Responsibility for a tech company.

Our Patrons and Founders

Patron since 2006. Nick Danziger is a world-renowned photojournalist and filmmaker. He has received numerous awards for his work, among them an Honorary Fellowship from the Royal Photographic Society and the World Press Photo 1st prize in the single portrait category.

Patron since 2006. Working extensively in photography and film, Sarah has been exhibiting worldwide since 1982. She has published over a dozen books and is a celebrated filmmaker.

Anna co-founded PhotoVoice on graduation from Edinburgh University in 1999 and delivered PhotoVoice’s first consultancy project partnering with Christian Aid in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2000. Anna led and grew PhotoVoice from 2000-2008 establishing PV as a pioneer in participatory photography.  Anna now works as a consultant for UK and International social ventures.

Tiffany has been involved in over 40 participatory photography projects as a manager, facilitator, trainer and researcher. She left PhotoVoice in 2009 and is pursuing PhD research focusing on photography as a tool for empowerment.
