Leica Camera UK and PhotoVoice share the belief that photography can cross cultural and linguistic barriers, and can be adapted to all abilities. The partnership will see Leica supporting the vision and mission of PhotoVoice, which is for a world in which no one is denied the opportunity to speak out and be heard.
Jason Heward, Managing Director for Leica Camera UK, says of the partnership “We are privileged to be working with a charity that uses photography to provide a voice within communities that don’t always get the chance to tell their own stories. Leica has spent over a century working with some of the greatest photographers and their creative voices, giving us a true understanding of the impact photography can have.”
Tom Elkins, Chief Executive Officer for PhotoVoice, commented on the partnership with Leica: “Leica has a major role in the history of photography, and has been connected with some of the most iconic, powerful, and acclaimed photographs taken. We are delighted to be announcing this partnership based on our shared values, and which will help support our innovative and unique approach to using photography for positive social change.”
