21-25 January 2015 | Business Design Centre London N1
London Art Fair is the UK’s premier Modern British and contemporary art Fair, bringing together over one hundred galleries from the UK and overseas as well as two curated sections – Art Projects and Photo50.
This year’s Photo50 exhibition ‘Against Nature’ is curated by Sheyi Bankale. It asks us to consider what it is to look at and display a photograph and how a photograph can be elevated to the status of an object, act or intervention.
A Photography Focus Day will take place at the Fair on Wednesday 21 January with guided tours, artist talks and panel discussions exploring contemporary photographic practice. PhotoVoice itself will be hosting a discussion on The Landscape of War at 12pm on the 21 January. Photographer Mike Sheil, Photojournalist Jenny Matthews, and the Tate’s Curator of Photography and International Art, Simon Baker will discuss how photography has explored and articulated different aspects of war and conflict.
Advanced tickets are £14, and £20 on the door, but if you are a PhotoVoice member, tickets are only £10. If you are a member, contact PhotoVoice at firstname.lastname@example.org for your special discount code.
Please note that this offer is only available until 26th December.
