21-24th March 2015 | The NEC, Birmingham
We’re very excited to announce that for the first time, we will be at The Photography Show at the NEC in Birmingham between the 21-24th of March.
This the a must-attend event for any photographer, from budding amateur to seasoned professional, where you can get your hands on the latest kit (at discounted prices!), learn new skills and get technical advice from some of the world’s leading photographers.
Attendees of the show will also have the opportunity to visit the PhotoVoice stand (H123), where we will be exhibiting some of the best work from our projects.
This is also a great opportunity to join the fantastic new PhotoVoice Membership Scheme, launched last year. Not only does this support our award-winning work, but you also receive a range of exclusive benefits.
Members who sign up at The Photography Show will also get a Photography Show discount on the books Burke + Norfolk: Photographs from the War in Afghanistan by John Burke and Simon Norfolk and Black Country Stories by Martin Parr. Visit our stand to find out more information!
PhotoVoice Speakers at The Super Stage
Because here at PhotoVoice we passionately believe in the power of photography for positive social change, we have organised talks from world-renowned and inspirational photographers Simon Norfolk and Tim Flach.
Tim Flach will be giving a talk on Who’s Upside Down – Us or the Bats? where he will discuss the key themes of his work, particularly reflecting on the way in which we shape animals and shape their meaning through images. The animal photographer will explore his concerns with anthropomorphism and anthropocentrism and the relationships we forge between human and non-human animals.
Where? The Super Stage
When? 16.00 Saturday 21st
Acclaimed photographer, Simon Norfolk will be giving a talk on ‘The Passions and Inspirations that get my Work in the Best Magazines’. He will sharecareer insights from some of the world’s toughest and most dangerous places. Simon’s work is regularly featured in major publications because of his ability to deliver original, well-researched and thoroughly crafted images. Give your work the focus it needs; enlightened by the influences Simon brings to bear; with a real political urgency.
