The Aid & Trade exhibition is a rare opportunity to bring charities and NGO’s together under one roof. The unique event is a chance to share ideas and make new relationships so that together we might bring about positive social change.
PhotoVoice were invited to exhibit past project, ‘Development Progress’ at the two-day event. In 2014, PhotoVoice worked with the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) to explore where progress is happening in the hope of learning more about the factors making a positive impact on people’s lives.
Photography and digital-story telling workshops were delivered in communities in Ghana, Nepal, Ethiopia, Tunisia, China and Peru.
Exhibiting at the Aid & Trade event provided a good opportunity for PhotoVoice to reach new audiences with images from our past project, helping to bring attention to both the important stories from those at the grassroots of development, and promote the use of participatory photography to those in attendance.
